How it works
A calm way to find the right plumber
Describe what’s happening in your own words. We’ll tell you what kind of problem it sounds like, ask only the questions that matter, and show you the businesses that actually fit the job — with the reasons on every card.
Where the data comes from
- License verification. Every business in our network holds an active, clear-status California contractor license (C-36 plumbing or an equivalent classification) from the CSLB public records.
- Capability checks. What each plumber can do is verified from the business’s own website, and every claim shows its source and the month we last checked it. Claims we haven’t confirmed are marked as such — never presented as facts.
- Service areas. Cities served come from each business’s own statements, checked against their license address.
- Context, not ranking tricks. Star ratings and review counts are shown for context. What decides a match is whether the plumber verifiably does the work you need, where you are.
Who gets included
The same rules for everyone — no pay-to-play, no featured placements, no lead selling:
- An active CSLB license in a classification appropriate to the work they appear for (C-36 plumbing primarily; adjacent trades like HVAC-and-plumbing or septic only for the specific services they verifiably perform).
- A reachable business phone.
- Verified evidence for the specific job types and cities they’re matched on — at least three verified capabilities, two verified service areas, and a confirmed property type.
- No minimum star rating. A new shop with strong evidence belongs; weak reputation simply shows as a “good to know” note.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your request or contact details to contractors.
- We don’t take a cut of any job.
- We don’t accept payment for placement, and plumbers can’t buy their way to “strongest match.”
- We don’t pretend to know things we haven’t verified — uncertain availability or experience shows up as a “good to know,” and the honest answer when nobody fits is “we don’t have a verified match yet.”
Before you call
Every match comes with a short job brief — what to tell the plumber and useful questions to ask (like whether there’s a service-call fee). We never confirm a technician’s availability for you: always call to confirm a time window. Licensing can be double-checked any time on cslb.ca.gov.
